Meinhardt Infrastructure and Environment Ltd. is currently undertaking the Investigation Study of the Project for Highways Department under Agreement No. CE 19/2007 (HY).

The objective of the Study is to evaluate the long-term improvement options for Hiram’s Highway to cope with traffic demand (including daily and tourist traffic) and to improve road safety of drivers and pedestrians. We will recommend feasible, public-supported, cost-effective, socially, environmentally and economically sustainable schemes, and work out sufficient details for the next stage of the Project for implementation. Effective interim traffic improvement measures are also to be studied.

The Study also includes a series of comprehensive consultation with the District Councils, local communities, professional bodies, green groups and academics having interest in the Project, with an aim to collect views to developing a preferred road improvement scheme for Hiram’s Highway.
